🚨 Important CBSE Board Exam Update for Class X Students (Dated 09 December 2025)
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an important notification for Class X students regarding the new structure of Science and Social Science question papers and mandatory instructions for writing answers in the upcoming Board Examinations.
📌 Why This Update?
To improve the quality and accuracy of evaluation, CBSE has divided the question papers into separate sections. Students must strictly follow this division while writing answers in the answer booklets.
🔬 Science Question Paper Structure (3 Sections)
The Class X Science question paper will now have the following three clearly defined sections:
- Section-A: Biology
- Section-B: Chemistry
- Section-C: Physics
🌍 Social Science Question Paper Structure (4 Sections)
The Class X Social Science question paper will have the following four sections:
- Section-A: History
- Section-B: Geography
- Section-C: Political Science
- Section-D: Economics
🛑 Critical Instructions for Class X Students
Students appearing in the 2025–26 CBSE Board Examinations must carefully follow these mandatory rules:
- Divide the Answer Book: Students must divide their answer book into 03 sections in Science and 04 sections in Social Science exactly as per the structure.
- Write Only in the Assigned Section: Answers should be written only in the designated section of the answer sheet.
- Do Not Mix Answers: Answers from one section must not be written in any other section.
- Consequences of Mixing: If a student mixes answers across sections, such responses will not be evaluated and no marks will be awarded.
- No Correction During Verification: These mistakes cannot be corrected even during verification or revaluation after the results are declared.
⚠ Very Important: Mixing answers between sections will result in loss of marks even if the answers are correct. CBSE will not review such errors under any circumstances.
🔑 Action Required by Schools
CBSE has instructed all schools to ensure that students practice the new answer-writing format in advance. Schools are advised to:
- Conduct practice sessions based on the new section-wise format.
- Include the same format in Pre-Board examinations.
- Guide students to divide answer books properly during practice exams.
Students are also advised to refer to the latest Sample Question Papers for Science and Social Science available on the CBSE Academic website.
