CBSE Announces 2026-27 Curriculum Release for Classes IX-XII with NCF 2023

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the updated curriculum for Classes 11 and 12. The curriculum for Classes 9 and 10 will be released on April 2, 2026 at 3:00 PM. Full alignment with National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023 begins from Class IX.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the updated curriculum for Classes XI and XII for the academic session 2026–27. This is a significant update as CBSE begins full implementation of the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023 starting from Class IX.

Implementation of NCF 2023

CBSE is implementing the scheme of studies as recommended in the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-2023) from Class IX this year. A special webinar will be held on April 2, 2026 at 3:00 PM at CBSE Headquarters, Dwarka, to explain the revised scheme and other important changes.

  • Download the complete curriculum from the “Curriculum 2026–27” section on cbseacademic.nic.in
  • Circulate it among all teachers and students immediately
  • Organise special Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to explain the changes
  • Ensure smooth implementation from the beginning of the 2026–27 session
