CBSE Invites Nominations for National Awards to Teachers 2025–26
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened self-nominations for the prestigious National Awards to Teachers 2025–26 for eligible teachers and principals of its affiliated private independent schools.
Important: The last date to submit online applications is July 12, 2026. CBSE will recommend only six nominations under its quota.
Who Can Apply?
- Teachers: Minimum 10 years of regular service as on March 31, 2026.
- Principals: 10 years as teacher + 5 years as Principal in CBSE-affiliated schools.
- Retired teachers/principals (on or after March 31, 2026) meeting eligibility criteria can also apply.
Note: Each applicant can apply under only one category.
How to Apply
Interested candidates must submit their applications online only through the official CBSE portal. All supporting documents must be uploaded before the deadline.
Documents Required
- Signed undertaking on the correctness of information
- Recommendation letters from School Manager/Head with service and vigilance clearance
- Educational certificates and mark sheets
- Board/school examination results and other supporting documents
Selection Process
- CBSE prepares a merit list based on experience, qualifications, performance, and other criteria.
- Top 24 candidates are shortlisted.
- Shortlisted applicants get two days to upload verified documents.
- National Level Scrutiny Committee conducts final evaluation and interactive sessions.
- Final six nominations forwarded to the Ministry of Education.
