CIET-NCERT Invites Teachers and Students for AI-Based Mathematics Online Training
The Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), a constituent unit of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), has launched a **special online training programme** titled "Enhancing Mathematical Competency through AI" aimed at teachers, students, and other education stakeholders. This initiative is part of CIET-NCERT’s continuous effort to integrate **Artificial Intelligence (AI)** and **digital tools** into mathematics education to promote deeper learning, creativity, and competency-based classroom practices. 0

The training sessions will be broadcast live from the NCERT studio, and sessions will include expert presentations, practical demonstrations, and interactive discussions. 1

This four-day online training is designed to help educators and learners use AI and digital teaching methods to enhance mathematical competency. The course content includes:
- Day 1 – Leveraging AI to Map Misconceptions and Learning Outcomes by Sangeeta Gulati, Google Champion & Head, Dept. of Mathematics
- Day 2 – Designing Diagnostic Assessments to Identify Learning Gaps by Meena Bagga, Mathematics Lecturer & Google Champion
- Day 3 – Creating Visual Content for Conceptual Remediation by Nidhi Bhagra, Google Champion, TGT Maths
- Day 4 – Differentiated Instruction through Digital Platforms with DSonia Mehra Agarwal & Hema Saggar, Google for Education
These sessions focus on applying AI tools to identify learning gaps, develop visual explanations, and use digital platforms for personalized student support. 2

Participants may be able to earn a certificate by joining the DIKSHA course, completing all modules, and passing the final assessment. 4
