As of March 2, 2026, NISHTHA (National Initiative for School Heads' and Teachers' Holistic Advancement) remains one of India's flagship programs for teacher professional development. Current Status & Key Ongoing NISHTHA Offerings (March 2026)

The program has evolved through phases (NISHTHA 1.0 Elementary, 2.0 Secondary, 3.0/FLN, 4.0 ECCE, etc.), with many modules now available as reruns or ongoing batches on DIKSHA.

  • NISHTHA FLN (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy): This is the most active and widely promoted right now. Aligned with NIPUN Bharat Mission (aiming universal FLN by 2026-27), it helps teachers build engaging, multilingual methods for early grades (pre-primary to Grade 5).
